Mushroom Paté Extraordinaire
If you love mushrooms this one is a winner! You can use it as a mock chicken-liver paté and serve it for an appetizer or snack with crakers, chips, bread, etc. It's simple to make and can be adapted to the mushroom lovers taste!
1/2 lb Mushrooms, chopped
1 Small Onion, chopped
3 Tbsp Oil, Coconut or Olive oil
1 Cup Walnuts
Salt and Pepper to taste
1Tbsp Water (If needed)
Saute mushrooms and onion in oil for eight minutes. Pour into blender or food processor adding the walnuts, salt, pepper and blend until smooth. You can put aside some of the chopped raw mushrooms and/or onions and then fold in to pate for texture and taste.
